Xledger continues to strengthen its international partner network through a new partnership with Azets, one of Europe’s leading advisory and accounting firms spanning 190 locations in the UK and Europe.
As part of this development, Azets Norway has committed to moving a portfolio of 7,000 customers from its on-premise system Visma Business to Xledger’s cloud finance software.
The project also reflects the growing demand for scalable, automated finance software from complex organisations that operate across global markets.
Overview:
- Azets plans to move 7,000 customers to Xledger’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- The majority of these customers stem from Azets’ business process outsourcing (BPO) portfolio.
- The agreement with Azets is an extension of Azets’ acquisition of parts of the Saga chain, which is already an Xledger partner.
- The partnership solidifies Xledger as a significant provider of software for multi-entity and complex group organisations.
Arne Norhem, CEO of Azets’ Norway, explained why the firm partnered with Xledger to support its customers:
“The choice of Xledger for the largest and most complex customers is about far more than financial incentives, but about practical partnership. We’ll be carrying out a demanding transformation for many customers over a short period of time, and it’s crucial to have a partner who stands up, takes responsibility, and solves challenges together with us.”
Why Azets chose Xledger for complex customers
Many of the organisations involved sit within Azets’ business process outsourcing (BPO) services, where scalability and reliable financial insight are essential. The programme builds on Azets Norway’s earlier acquisition of parts of the Saga chain, which already had an established relationship with Xledger.
As Norhem explains, the partnership highlights the importance of delivering such a significant migration project:
“We provide services to everything from small holding companies to large corporations with high complexity. For the most demanding part of the portfolio, Xledger was clearly the best option. Not all platforms handle advanced group structure, distribution of large invoice volumes and automated workflows in a way that satisfies our quality requirements.”
Talking about the breadth of the project, he notes:
“This is not a data migration. It’s a business transformation. Customers are not just moving to a new platform; they are moving to a new way of working.”
As finance technology projects evolve, organisations are looking for new ways to embed automation, data accessibility, and integrated systems into scalable software, a key area of interest for Xledger experts.
Why collaboration matters in complex ERP projects
The Norwegian partnership also reinforces the role of collaboration in delivering ERP solutions, particularly for organisations with more advanced requirements. As finance functions continue to evolve, there is a growing need for closer alignment between software providers and advisory partners to ensure systems are configured effectively and can adapt over time.
“The scale of the migration reflects a broader shift among advisory firms and their clients, where modernisation is increasingly focused on creating more connected, efficient finance environments rather than simply replacing legacy systems,” says Norhem.
These partnerships play an important role in delivering the right solutions to customers, ensuring they are supported to grow sustainably, particularly in the face of complex financial transformation projects.
The Azets partnership joins a growing global network of advisory and accounting firms working with Xledger, including BDO, S&W, Cooper Parry, View Group, and Aider.
For advisory and accounting partners, this shift creates an opportunity to support clients through complex finance transformation projects. As organisations move away from legacy systems, they’re looking for expertise as well as technology, and that’s where strong partner relationships become critical.
What this means for the future of finance transformation
At a time of rapid change, collaborations of this kind underline the importance of combining technical capability with practical expertise to support sustained transformation.
Partnership-driven approaches, supported by scalable cloud platforms, are increasingly central to this shift, helping organisations manage complexity while maintaining control and visibility.
The Azets partnership highlights a growing trend across the European market where organisations are looking for technology providers and advisory partners that can support migration alongside meaningful transformation, and long-term growth simultaneously.
