- Timeline: A configurable solution can help ease the implementation process by reducing the number of design decisions needed to implement a new finance product by comparison to customisable solutions. This means implementation timelines are largely reduced.
- Software Updates: As a configurable solution, we are able to keep all customers on the same instance of our software, which means all customers get the latest version of our product and the most up-to-date features.
- Integrations: Equally, a configurable solution means consistency in data fields, which allows us to create ‘out of the box’ integrations to suit our customers’ needs.
- Controls: It provides added comfort for financial controls as the system has pre-defined controls which are inherent within each finance process. This allows peace of mind compared to a customisable solution where these controls would need to be carefully designed into each process.
- Maintenance: Configured solutions are much easier to maintain as a customisable solution requires software development that comes at a cost, whereas a configurable solution can be maintained by trained users at no additional cost.
- Vertical market set-up: Through Xledger’s experience of working in different sectors, we can make recommendations on best practices by using a setup similar to customers in the same sector. This can reduce the time spent on configuration design and reduce the risk as it’s known to work for existing customers.

- We utilise a ticketing system which enables our support consultants to respond to your queries swiftly, but also lets you keep a record of all previous queries for your reference.
- Following implementation our customers will enter a period of extra support called ‘Hypercare’. We understand after go-live is when technical support is needed most, you will be provided with enhanced SLAs and your tickets will be acted on as priority during this time.
- With our cloud software our support consultants can review your issues (with authority) immediately, this enables them to bring swift resolution to queries, compared to an on-premise application which may require data to be downloaded to support users.
Approach to training
- Training is a 3-part equation – (1) online interactive training, (2) followed by in-person or online consulting workshops, (3) followed by testing to embed that knowledge transfer.
- Our online learning platform Equip is specially designed to reduce learning time by 25% compared to face to face training alternatives. It also improves knowledge retention, because you are able to absorb the learning at your own pace.
- Key Finance users will have continued access to Equip, meaning they can always access learning materials. This is hugely important for those infrequent tasks, such as year-end and making changes to configuration.
- Equip can be a great way of introducing any new finance team members to Xledger during their induction.
- Many of the courses are CPD certified for finance professionals.
- Certifications are also available after you have completed your training.
- During your training experience, you will use a pre-defined sandbox environment to support your interactive training to build on your knowledge and understanding. This will allow you to understand how the system works before we ask you to make crucial design decisions on your system-specific set-up.
