An invoice is a specific document explaining and outlining the details of a transaction between a seller and a buyer. While this may seem identical to a receipt, the difference comes in complexity. Wherein a receipt is usually only an itemized list with prices and some additional information, an invoice is used for any number of unique functions related to the transaction, including shipping details, receiver, packing, or special terms.
It is essential to mention that these documents are written out instead of being spoken. In reality, it is in writing instead of in voice.
